What does Exodus 12:28 mean?

The Israelites faced an impossible moment, caught between Pharaoh's grip and their own uncertainty about whether to trust this stranger Moses. Yet when they heard the instructions for the Passover, they acted immediately and together, following every detail without hesitation. This simple statement captures something profound: despite their fear and the strangeness of what they were being asked to do, they chose obedience, and that choice became their path to freedom. Their willingness to follow God's direction, even when it didn't make complete sense, is what allowed them to participate in their own liberation.
