What does Exodus 12:26 mean?
When your children see the Passover meal and ask what it's all about, you're being given permission and responsibility to tell them the story. This verse assumes that rituals without explanation fade into meaningless habit, but rituals explained become bridges connecting one generation to the next. The question itself is an invitation to pass on not just rules, but the deeper truth of what God has done. In hard seasons especially, these conversations matter because they remind us why we do what we do, and they give children language for their own faith that goes beyond "because I said so."
