What does Exodus 10:28 mean?
Pharaoh had reached the breaking point. After nine devastating plagues, he was so furious at Moses that he issued an ultimatum: never come before him again, or face death. This wasn't just anger, though, it was desperation disguised as authority, because Pharaoh was running out of power to control what was happening in his own kingdom. What makes this moment significant is that Pharaoh was trying to assert dominance through threats when he had already lost control of almost everything. He couldn't stop the plagues, couldn't keep his people from pressuring him to let the Israelites go, and now he was trying to silence the very person who represented God's will. His command reveals how trapped he felt, even in his palace. The final plague, the death of the firstborn, was about to shatter what little authority he had left.
