What does Exodus 1:3 mean?
This brief verse simply lists three more of Jacob's sons, continuing the genealogy that shows how Jacob's family grew into the nation of Israel. In the opening of Exodus, Moses is establishing which tribes descended from each son, since these twelve names would eventually become the twelve tribes of Israel.
