Ephesians 3:17
βthat Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love,β
What does Ephesians 3:17 mean?
Paul is praying that Jesus would make his home in the deepest part of who you are, not as a distant idea but as a living presence you experience through trust in him. When Christ "dwells" in your heart this way, it creates a foundation so solid and real that your whole life becomes anchored in love, the way tree roots go deep into the ground to hold it steady. This isn't about feeling emotional all the time, but about having such a secure sense of being loved by God that it shapes how you see yourself and treat others, no matter what storms come your way.
