Ephesians 1:22

What does Ephesians 1:22 mean?
God gave Jesus authority over absolutely everything—every power, every circumstance, every outcome—and positioned him as the head of the church. When Paul writes this, he's helping us understand that the one leading us isn't some distant deity but the one who holds all creation in his hands. This means that whatever we're facing, whatever feels overwhelming or out of control, is ultimately under the rule of the one who loves the church and gave himself for it.
