What does Deuteronomy 9:22 mean?
Moses is reminding the Israelites of three specific times they angered God during their wilderness journey: at Taberah (where God sent fire to consume complainers), at Massah (where they tested God by demanding water), and at Kibroth Hattaavah (where they craved meat and rebelled against God's provision). He's listing these names like landmarks of their own spiritual failure, a kind of "remember when we did this" moment. The point isn't shame for shame's sake, but honest remembrance. Moses wants the people to recognize a pattern in themselves: they kept forgetting God's faithfulness and giving in to fear or entitlement.
