What does Deuteronomy 5:3 mean?
This verse comes from Moses reminding the Israelites that God's covenant isn't something that happened to their ancestors and is now just inherited tradition, but something alive and personal to them, right now. Even though their parents received the law at Sinai, each generation must encounter God's promises and requirements as their own.
