Deuteronomy 3:2
“Yahweh said to me, “Don’t fear him; for I have delivered him, with all his people, and his land, into your hand. You shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.””
What does Deuteronomy 3:2 mean?
God is reassuring Moses (and through him, the Israelites) as they face King Og of Bashan—a ruler whose reputation might have seemed intimidating. The promise here is straightforward: the outcome is already settled in God's hands, and victory belongs to Israel. By reminding them of their previous success against Sihon, God is saying, "You've already seen what I can do; this will be the same."
