Deuteronomy 28:15
“But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come on you, and overtake you.”
What does Deuteronomy 28:15 mean?
God is spelling out the natural consequences of turning away from his guidance and protection. When the Israelites chose to ignore his commands, they weren't being punished by an arbitrary ruler, but rather stepping away from the framework that kept them safe, prosperous, and connected to him.
