Deuteronomy 2:3
““You have encircled this mountain long enough. Turn northward.”
What does Deuteronomy 2:3 mean?
God is telling the Israelites it's time to stop going in circles and move forward. For forty years they've been wandering in the wilderness as a consequence of their disobedience, and this moment marks when that season of waiting is finally ending. The instruction to turn northward signals a concrete change, a new direction that means God hasn't abandoned them but is actively leading them toward the promised land. There's something deeply encouraging here if you're in a season that feels stuck. Sometimes we need to accept that a chapter has closed and trust that God is pointing us toward what comes next, even when we can't yet see the whole path ahead.
