“and the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, but turn away out of the way which I command you today, to go after other gods, which you have not known.”
What does Deuteronomy 11:28 mean?
When the Israelites faced a choice between following God's way or turning toward other gods, they were really choosing between blessing and consequence. The "curse" here isn't arbitrary punishment, but the natural result of abandoning the one who sustains and guides you.
