Deuteronomy 11:12
“a land which Yahweh your God cares for. Yahweh your God’s eyes are always on it, from the beginning of the year even to the end of the year.”
What does Deuteronomy 11:12 mean?
God's promise here speaks to how personally attentive he is to the land he's giving Israel, and by extension, to his people. Rather than being distant or neglectful, he's continuously watching over this place, caring for it throughout every season and every moment of the year. It's a tender image of divine oversight, suggesting that nothing escapes God's notice or concern. For anyone struggling to feel seen or cared for, this verse offers comfort: the same God who tends carefully to the land tends carefully to our lives as well.
