What does Deuteronomy 1:30 mean?
Moses is reminding the Israelites that God has already proven himself as their protector and fighter. He's pointing back to the plagues and the escape from Egypt, events they witnessed directly or heard about in vivid detail, as evidence that God goes ahead of them into whatever comes next. The message is: you've already seen what God is capable of doing on your behalf, so trust that he'll continue doing it.
