What does Deuteronomy 1:14 mean?
Moses is recounting how the Israelites responded when he proposed a solution to an overwhelming problem. The people had grown so numerous that he couldn't judge all their disputes alone, so he suggested appointing leaders to help share the load. When the people heard this idea, they agreed it was wise and good. This moment captures something universal about leadership and community: sometimes the best ideas come from listening to problems and being willing to adjust.
