Daniel 9:13
“As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. Yet have we not entreated the favor of Yahweh our God, that we should turn from our iniquities, and have discernment in your truth.”
What does Daniel 9:13 mean?
Daniel and his people are confessing that they're experiencing the consequences God warned about in Moses' teachings, yet they haven't truly turned their hearts toward Him or genuinely sought His guidance. There's a recognition here that knowing what's wrong isn't the same as turning away from it or asking God to help us understand His ways differently.
