What does Daniel 5:22 mean?
Belshazzar had watched his father's downfall firsthand, yet he chose the same path of pride and defiance against God. The prophet Daniel is confronting him with a hard truth: knowing what happened to someone else isn't enough, especially when you ignore that warning and repeat their mistakes. Sometimes the hardest lessons come not from our own failures, but from watching others suffer the consequences of choices we're tempted to make anyway. God gives us time and examples to learn from, but that grace only matters if we actually let it change us.
