“You shall be driven from men; and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field. You shall be made to eat grass as oxen. Seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.’””
What does Daniel 4:32 mean?
This prophecy describes a humbling that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon would experience, and it actually came to pass in his life. God was warning him through a dream that his pride would lead to a temporary loss of his mind and kingdom, reducing him to living like an animal until he learned that God, not human power, ultimately governs the world. The "seven times" likely refers to seven years of this affliction.
