What does Daniel 2:17 mean?
Daniel had just been given an impossible task: interpret the king's forgotten dream or face execution. Rather than panic alone, his first instinct was to turn to his closest friends and tell them everything. He immediately involved Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah (better known by their Babylonian names, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) in both the crisis and his plan to seek God's help through prayer. This moment shows us something beautiful about how Daniel handled overwhelming pressure: he didn't isolate himself or pretend to have all the answers. He trusted his friends enough to be completely honest about the danger, and together they could bring their petition before God.
