Colossians 3:6

What does Colossians 3:6 mean?
Paul is describing the natural consequences that follow when people persistently reject God's ways. He's not talking about arbitrary punishment, but rather what happens when we build our lives on things that damage us and others, like anger, greed, and deception. When we ignore God's design for how we're meant to live, we experience the fallout of that rebellion, both in broken relationships and in a fractured sense of peace within ourselves.
