Colossians 1:19
“For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him;”
What does Colossians 1:19 mean?
God's complete nature—all his power, wisdom, love, and character—chose to make its home in Jesus. Paul is describing something almost beyond words: that in Jesus, nothing of God was held back or diminished, but the entire divine fullness expressed itself fully in human form. This speaks to both Jesus's unique identity and to what becomes possible for us through him, since we're invited into relationship with this complete God who walked among us and still walks with us today.
