What does Acts 9:4 mean?
Saul was traveling to Damascus to arrest followers of Jesus when he encountered a blinding light and fell to the ground. The voice he heard was Jesus himself, speaking directly to him in that moment of shock and confusion. By asking "why do you persecute me," Jesus was drawing a profound connection between attacks on his people and attacks on himself, suggesting that harming his followers is harming him personally.
