What does Acts 9:27 mean?
After his dramatic encounter with Jesus on the Damascus road, Paul (then called Saul) faced a real problem: the apostles in Jerusalem didn't trust him, since he'd been actively persecuting Christians just days before. Barnabas stepped in as a bridge-builder, vouching for Paul's authentic transformation and explaining what had actually happened to him. What makes this moment beautiful is that someone believed in Paul's changed heart when others were understandably skeptical, and then took the risk of introducing him to the community that had every reason to fear him. Sometimes faith isn't just about believing in God, it's about someone believing in you when your past makes that hard, and then putting their own reputation on the line to help you belong.
