What does Acts 9:19 mean?
After his dramatic encounter with Jesus on the Damascus road left him temporarily blind, Saul was disoriented and spiritually shaken. This simple account of him eating and regaining physical strength marks a turning point, the quiet restoration that follows crisis. He wasn't rushing away or hiding in shame, but instead staying close to the very community of believers he'd come to persecute, now receiving their care and friendship. There's something deeply human and hopeful here. Before Saul could do anything else, he needed food, rest, and time with people who understood what had just happened to him.
