What does Acts 8:5 mean?
Philip was one of seven men chosen to help distribute aid in the early Jerusalem church, but the Holy Spirit had bigger plans for him. When persecution scattered believers from Jerusalem, Philip traveled to Samaria, a region that had deep historical tensions with the Jewish people, and began sharing about Jesus there. What makes this moment significant is that Philip didn't wait for perfect circumstances or stick only to his own people. He went where he was led and spoke boldly about Christ to people who had every reason to reject a Jewish messenger.
