What does Acts 8:35 mean?

Philip had just encountered an Ethiopian official reading Isaiah's prophecy about a suffering servant, confused about its meaning. Rather than overwhelming the man with arguments, Philip simply started right where the confusion was and showed him how that ancient text pointed directly to Jesus and his sacrifice. There's something beautiful and practical here: Philip didn't launch into a complicated theology lesson. He met the person where they actually were, used the Scripture already on their mind, and connected the dots to Jesus. It's a reminder that sometimes the most powerful conversations about faith begin with listening to where someone is genuinely searching, then gently showing them how Jesus answers the very questions already stirring in their heart.
