What does Acts 7:9 mean?
Joseph's own brothers sold him into slavery because they were jealous of the favor their father showed him. It's a deeply painful moment, the kind of betrayal that can make you wonder if God has abandoned you. Yet Luke reminds us in those same breaths that God was right there with Joseph through it all, even in Egypt as a slave, even in prison later on. Sometimes the presence of God isn't obvious or comfortable, but this verse testifies that He doesn't leave us when human cruelty enters our story.
