What does Acts 7:27 mean?
When Moses tried to help settle a dispute between two Israelites, one of them rejected him harshly, asking who gave Moses the right to interfere. This moment shows how Moses' own people didn't recognize him as their deliverer, even though God had chosen him for that role. Sometimes when we step in to help or speak truth, we get pushed away or questioned, and it can sting because we're coming from a good place. Stephen (who's telling this story) is reminding his listeners that God's plans often face resistance, and faithful people sometimes get rejected before they're recognized.
