What does Acts 7:24 mean?
This moment captures Stephen recounting Moses' early life to show a pattern: Moses saw injustice and acted on it, even though he wasn't yet called to lead God's people. The "Egyptian" he struck had been beating a Hebrew slave, so Moses stepped in to protect someone vulnerable. It's a very human response to witnessing cruelty, though it also got Moses into serious trouble afterward and forced him to flee Egypt. Stephen brings this up to show that God's rescuers and leaders often start by simply refusing to look away from suffering, even when it costs them something.
