What does Acts 6:13 mean?
Stephen was a bold follower of Jesus doing remarkable things in Jerusalem, and his boldness made powerful people deeply uncomfortable. Rather than engage with his actual arguments, his opponents brought in people willing to lie about him in court, claiming he'd insulted the Jewish temple and the law of Moses. It's a familiar pattern: when you can't defeat someone's ideas, attack their character instead. What's striking is that Stephen hadn't actually said these things, yet the false testimony stuck enough to get him arrested.
