What does Acts 5:7 mean?

Ananias and Sapphira had just agreed together to deceive the apostles about the sale of their property, claiming they were giving all the proceeds when they were actually keeping some back. When Ananias arrived first and lied to Peter about the amount, he collapsed and died right there. Now, a few hours later, his wife walks in completely unaware of what just transpired, setting up a tragic moment where she'll face the same choice her husband did and suffer the same consequence. This passage shows how Sapphira is about to unknowingly repeat her husband's deception, which makes the weight of personal choice and honesty before God feel very real and individual, not something you can hide behind a spouse's decision.
