“But an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors by night, and brought them out, and said,”
What does Acts 5:19 mean?
In the early days after Jesus rose, the apostles were arrested for healing people and teaching about Jesus, which made the religious authorities furious. God didn't leave them in that prison, though. An angel appeared at night, opened the locked doors as if they were nothing, and led the apostles out to safety. This wasn't just a rescue story, though, it was God's way of showing that his purposes couldn't be stopped by human power or fear.
