Acts 4:13

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled. They recognized that they had been with Jesus.

What does Acts 4:13 mean?

When the religious authorities witnessed Peter and John speaking with such courage and conviction, they were stunned. These men had no formal training in Scripture or rhetoric, yet they spoke with the kind of authority and power that came from genuine encounter with the risen Jesus. The observers couldn't explain their confidence or clarity any other way, so they concluded that spending time with Jesus himself had transformed them. There's something deeply encouraging here for anyone who feels inadequate or unprepared: real faith and authentic experience with God matter far more than credentials or polish, and that authentic relationship shows in ways others can't help but notice.
