Acts 4:10
“be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole.”
What does Acts 4:10 mean?
Peter is speaking to the Jewish leaders who had arrested him and John for healing a beggar, and he's making a bold statement: the healing power they're witnessing comes directly through Jesus, the very person they executed. He's not being tactful or diplomatic, but he's also not angry. He's simply laying out the truth as he sees it: God raised Jesus from death, and that risen Jesus is actively working through them right now to restore and heal. What's remarkable is that Peter isn't afraid. Just weeks earlier, he'd denied even knowing Jesus, but now he's standing in front of the same authorities and testifying publicly about Jesus' resurrection and power. The "wholeness" of the healed beggar becomes evidence of something far bigger than physical healing, it's proof that Jesus is alive and at work in the world.
