Acts 28:20

What does Acts 28:20 mean?
Paul is explaining to the Jewish leaders in Rome why he wanted to meet with them. He's in prison, literally chained, because of his faith in Jesus as the promised Messiah, the hope that Israel had been waiting for across centuries. He's not bitter or defensive about his situation, but rather wants them to understand that his imprisonment stems from proclaiming something central to their own tradition and promises.
