What does Acts 28:17 mean?
Paul had finally arrived in Rome as a prisoner, and he immediately reached out to the Jewish leaders there to tell his side of the story. He's essentially saying, "I haven't done anything wrong by your law or traditions, yet I was arrested and handed over to Rome anyway." Paul wanted them to hear directly from him before rumors or official reports shaped their opinion, showing both his respect for Jewish community and his concern for justice.
