What does Acts 27:29 mean?
Paul and everyone aboard the ship are caught in a violent storm at sea, unable to see where they're going in the darkness. The sailors, terrified they'll crash onto rocks, drop anchors from the back of the ship hoping to hold steady until morning comes and they can see to navigate safely. It's a picture of people doing everything in their power during a crisis, then waiting and hoping for relief they can't control, which captures how many of us feel during our own difficult seasons.
