Acts 24:22

What does Acts 24:22 mean?
Felix was the Roman governor hearing Paul's case, and he already knew something about Christianity (called "the Way" in these early days). Rather than make an immediate judgment, Felix chose to wait for Lysias, the military commander who had arrested Paul in Jerusalem, hoping that hearing directly from him would clarify the charges. This delay might sound like a stalling tactic, but it actually protected Paul by giving him time and preventing a hasty, potentially unjust decision. Sometimes the slowness of justice, frustrating as it can feel, works in our favor when we're caught in situations beyond our control.
