What does Acts 23:19 mean?
When Paul was arrested in Jerusalem, he was in real danger from a mob that wanted to kill him. The Roman commander, noticing the chaos, brought Paul inside the fortress for protection. In this moment, the commander takes Paul's hand—a gesture of respect and reassurance—and listens to what he has to say.
