What does Acts 21:22 mean?
When Paul arrived in Jerusalem, the local church leaders were letting him know that his presence would cause a stir, so the whole community was going to gather. This wasn't meant as a warning about danger, but rather a practical reality: Paul was a significant figure whose movements mattered to people. The leaders were essentially saying, "Word will get out that you're here, and everyone will want to see you." There's something touching about this. It shows how visible faith leaders were in the early church and how genuinely people cared about one another's arrivals and departures. It also hints at the complexity of Paul's position, since his reputation inspired both devoted followers and fierce opponents.
