What does Acts 21:2 mean?

Paul and his companions were heading back to Jerusalem after their missionary work, and they needed passage across the Mediterranean Sea. They found a merchant ship sailing toward Phoenicia (in modern-day Lebanon), which was heading in the right direction for their journey. This simple detail reminds us that even in Scripture's great spiritual moments, faithful people still had to handle the ordinary logistics of travel, waiting for ships, and making practical decisions about how to get where God was calling them.
