“Now, behold, I go bound by the Spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there;”
What does Acts 20:22 mean?
Paul is telling the church leaders at Ephesus that he feels compelled by God's Spirit to travel to Jerusalem, even though he has no idea what awaits him there. He's being honest about his vulnerability, his lack of control over what's coming. Yet he's going anyway because something deeper than fear or uncertainty is moving him forward. This captures what it looks like to follow God's leading when you can't see the path ahead, and to trust that the Spirit's prompting matters more than knowing the outcome.
