What does Acts 17:22 mean?
Paul has been brought before the Areopagus (Athens' most influential council) to explain his strange new teachings about Jesus and resurrection. Rather than attacking the Athenians for their many idols and gods, he opens by acknowledging something true about them: their genuine devotion and spiritual hunger.
