What does Acts 15:4 mean?
Paul and Barnabas arrive in Jerusalem after their first missionary journey, bringing incredible news about how God was working among non-Jewish people. The leaders of the church welcome them warmly and listen as they share what they've witnessed, including people turning to faith in Jesus across new regions. This moment matters because it shows the early church wrestling with something huge: if God is clearly moving among gentiles, what does that mean for how the church should operate? Before they dive into debates and hard decisions, they simply receive the messengers with openness and hear their story. There's something beautiful about making space to listen to what God might be doing before we rush to judgment or defend the way we've always done things.
