What does Acts 15:38 mean?
Paul and his companion Barnabas were planning a second missionary journey, and Barnabas wanted to bring along John Mark, who had abandoned them during their first trip to the region of Pamphylia. Paul felt that someone who had quit midway through couldn't be trusted to stick with them on another difficult journey, so he refused to take him along. This disagreement between Paul and Barnabas was so serious that it actually split them up as ministry partners.
