What does Acts 15:30 mean?
Paul, Barnabas, and other leaders had been debating whether non-Jewish believers needed to follow Jewish laws to be truly Christian. After Jerusalem's church leaders settled the matter with a letter, these messengers traveled to Antioch to share the good news officially with the community there. They called everyone together and read the decision aloud so the whole church would hear directly that they were welcomed as full members without extra requirements. This moment settled a major tension that could have split the early church apart, and delivering the news in person, to the gathered community, shows how important it was to communicate unity clearly and publicly.
