Acts 14:28
βThey stayed there with the disciples for a long time.β
What does Acts 14:28 mean?
After Paul and Barnabas returned from their first missionary journey, they settled back into the church at Antioch where they'd been commissioned. This simple statement captures something beautiful about spiritual community: they didn't rush off to the next task or isolate themselves after their difficult travels. Instead, they invested time teaching, encouraging, and building relationships with the people who'd sent them out. For those of us in challenging seasons, there's comfort in knowing that even apostles needed seasons of rest, connection, and stability with their faith community.
