What does Acts 13:24 mean?
John the Baptist came before Jesus arrived on earth, calling people to turn away from their sins and be baptized as a sign of that change of heart. This was his central message to the Jewish people, preparing them spiritually for someone greater who would come after him. John wasn't offering his own path to God, but rather clearing the way and getting people ready to recognize and receive Jesus when He appeared. His work shows how repentance, or genuine turning around, was meant to be the foundation of faith from the very beginning.
