What does Acts 12:3 mean?
King Herod, wanting to gain favor with the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem, arrested Peter just as he had recently executed James. The mention of unleavened bread (Passover season) isn't just a calendar note, it's telling us that Jerusalem was packed with pilgrims and tension was high, which made this a strategic moment for Herod to boost his popularity among the crowds. What might look like political calculation on Herod's part was actually setting up the conditions for something remarkable, though Peter couldn't have known it yet. Sometimes when circumstances seem most threatening and orchestrated against us, God is actually positioning us for His deliverance.
