Acts 11:25
βBarnabas went out to Tarsus to look for Saul.β
What does Acts 11:25 mean?
Barnabas was searching for someone he believed in when that person had faded from public view. Saul (who later became Paul) had experienced a dramatic conversion to faith in Jesus, but after a rocky start in Jerusalem, he'd returned to his hometown of Tarsus to lay low. Rather than let him disappear, Barnabas traveled to find him, recognizing that Saul's gifts and calling were too valuable to be hidden away. This shows what real partnership looks like: not waiting for someone to come back to you on their own, but going out to find them, especially when you see potential they might not see in themselves.
